For my conditions and ECU program and exhaust will help?

I live in Costa Rica, have a 987 Base triptronic. love the handling of the car but...
Our best fuel is 87 octane
I use this car as a Sunday drive in the twisty mountains, usually between 4,000 to 6,000 ft elevation.
So you guess this fuel, plus triptronic, plus the altitude, doesnt run real fast.

Will a ECU programing for my type of fuel and altitude help?
adding a exhaust and Evo intake help even more?

I cannot buy an S model or a manual , there are none in Costa Rica

Do they sell octane booster in bottles? You could add a bottle to each tank to get 93 or better octane.

you can use toluene or xylene as octane booster. to get 91 octane in your boxster, add 9.6 liters of toluene or 8.6 liters of xylene to each tank of fuel. to reach 93 octane, use 14.3 liters toluene or 12.9 liters of xylene. in the US, these chemicals are available from paint supply stores or home supply stores like home depot. you might even be able to order a big drum of toluene or xylene to save $$$.

exhaust, intake, etc. will help a little bit, but your car just isn't designed to run on the type of spark advance that 87 octane fuel allows.

You should just buy a few cases at a time of octane booster and have it shipped to you! This will increase your performance, cause your probably losing like 10% or 20% right now from 87 octane, thats a few levels down from 93.

problem is that a bottle of octane boost will boost a tank of 87 to about 87.2. it really doesn't have enough fluid in a bottle to make a difference. toluene or xylene are far more economical.

insite,

that doesnt sound right why would octane booster boost .2? I see bottles all the time that say they'll boost your tank to 100 octane
