dsallean, FYI, there are quite a few launchers on the playstore that will allow you to change the look of the stereo operating scheme, google "android stereo launcher", a few should pop up. these launchers can be installed and used without the need to root the stereo.
A lot are free, some are a couple of bucks, well worth the customization they allow if you ask me.
