I'm not sure how we went from keyless entry to hiding a key in the car. Its not like I'm installing a remote starter unit.

I just want to be able to lock and unlock remotely.

If you go this route, you could use the key head without the remote to reduce bulk. Plus it has a notch inside for the immobilizer pellet.
