You must be referring to the coin holder

You should not keep coins in the ash tray. When the ash tray is closed the coins can bounce out of the tray and get under the center console, a few people have had coins get into the shifter and cause problems.

I did the ash tray delete right away when I bought the car. I must have found $5 in change stuck inside the center console.

Unfortunately, I don't think the ashtray delete is offered in graphite grey, they have two kinds of black, granite grey and metal grey. I have do a custom color match since my center console is Arctic Silver. You can still find the ashtray delete for around $50, I paid $35 + $10 for the rubber mat less than a year ago, but since I am painting it I bought the cheapest version. Searching by part number always seems to yield the best prices for me, so you might have better luck that way.

Is just the center console Arctic Silver or does it go up into the radio/climate control area also?

My build sheet is pretty interesting, every part of the dash that could be ordered in leather is leather, including the area around the radio and AC, but the lower center console and roll bar are arctic silver, I have also have some arctic silver accents on the door handles.

Wow. Just two days ago, I decided to put a dozen quarters in the ash tray in my new (to me) Boxster. Thought it was a great idea.
1) Isn't there some way to seal it up so that the coins won't bounce out?
2) Is there an aftermarket pop in replacement that would serve as a good coin holder?
3) What is "ash tray delete"?

my favorite mod...
Same one as mentioned by Tom Stone (post # 50)... as this improves greatly the feeling and handling of the car, following a second place would be the LSD.

I just put quarters in it too. For meters. What the heck do you need pennies and nickels for?
So are you saying that quarters are large enough and won't bounce out?
