Fuel door removal

How difficult is this ??

I have a replacement fuel door and have never installed it....mine has a high spot where the previous owner opened it and the spring caught....my replacement has been sitting on my shelf for 4 years ??

It's very easy, but you will need a new hinge since the easy removal is to just cut the old attachments with side cutters. Woody had a write up on this where the hinges are breaking. So I took his advice and replaced mine.

Found the link.

You can get it off w/o cutting hinge, I did, buuuut you'll likely stretch the plastic retainer clips enough that you'll want to replace anyhow. Save yourself the frustration and destroy the hinge. A new one is $15 or so from Sun-coast.

In any event, attached are directions on removal should you be entertained but the challenge but order a replacement in advance

Good luck
