You
can get it off w/o cutting hinge, I did, buuuut you'll likely stretch the plastic retainer clips enough that you'll want to replace anyhow. Save yourself the frustration and destroy the hinge. A new one is $15 or so from Sun-coast.
In any event, attached are directions on removal should you be entertained but the challenge but order a replacement in advance
