JFP, is the EVAP purge valve the one that connects the throttle body to the charcoal canister?
If so, by blowing air into the tube at the throttle body end of the hose with the valve energized (12V), may clear the valve from carbon debris.
You kindly recommended this trick a couple of years ago and the CEL has not returned..
