Noise and smoke

Thanks for all your replies. Lets see if I can answer all the responses.

It is white smoke. Not heavy a heavy smoke. It smells burnt. It appears to be coming from the passenger side.

I have never seen a drop of anything on the garage floor.

My car has been in my garage for 2 weeks and not started. After starting it this weekend the smoke took about 1-2 minutes before I could see it coming out of the engine compartment. I am hoping to get out there this week and pull the front motor cover off to see if I can see a better location of the strange noise.

I have a 2002 S with 75k miles.

I hear the ticking of the engine but there is a second noise that doesn't match the speed of the idle. Tried to show in my incredible Emmy winning video.

I have owned if for about 6 months and haven't driven it much because of the missing 2nd gear. Was looking at getting another Transmission but now hesitating because of the strange engine noise.
