OK, I'll jump in:
What color is the smoke? Blue or white?
When you stop the car, does anything drip to the ground? Is it oil or coolant? Where under the car does it drip?
Does the ticking start immediately when you start the car? Does it change when you have driven it and the car has warmed up?
