Do you want to keep the cd changer connected?
I left it disconnected as I don't use it anymore. All my music is on my phone, and I usually hit the shuffle button. Cd changer is useless to me.

Let me know if separating the plugs didn't work for you. I will try and post a video tonight. Doing some suspension work, so the car is on the lift.
