First of all, CONGRATS on the baby
Your life as you know it will change, for the better

Is the Boxster the only car you guys have?

I would keep the Boxster and get something practical for hauling the kid and stuff around.
Hate to say it, sounds like you need to get a minivan or maybe a SUV.
As kids get older, there is more and more crap to haul around, including their friends

If you get rid of the Boxster, you will miss it and regret selling a good car.

Kids don't stay tiny forever and your kid will love being dropped off at school in a cool Porsche convertible
