Hey BIGJake!
Did you get your car back up and running after the alternator took a dump on you?
I haven't seen you say any more about it.

Cars at the dealership. Alternator turned freely so we assume it was just the pullies. Ordered pullies tensioner and belt as well as a waterpump and thermostat for future proofing, all of which came in last Thursday.
So right now we are just waiting on the dealer to get around to it, would do the work ourselves but we are struggling to find the source of the CEL so we are letting the dealer handle that as well.
So just waiting on dealer to get around to it then the car will have a new belt and pulleys as well as a new water pump and thermostat.
The local dealer recently took on Land Rover which has stolen several bays and resources and one of the only Porsche bays has a torn apart gt3 on it haha.
I hope to have the car back soon, currently driving the family Camry.
Fwd, and top hinged throttle is terrible.

Funny thing, the Camry is just a quick as our cars but not nearly as much fun.

Depends on what you mean by "quick". 0-60 times? The Boxster is faster by about 2 seconds, is much faster when emergency acceleration is needed (or simply passing a slow poke on the road) and then yes, way way more fun.
Probably not as good on gas though.
This is of course assuming the Camry is a 6 cylinder vs. the 4 cylinder.
Don't get me wrong - I like the camry as a nice, family sedan with decent get-up....but it's no Boxster.

When the transmission shifts at 1.5k rpm the Camry feels much slower.
Actually really missing the added control of a manual transmission, the Camry may have a manual mode but it's miles slower then a tiptronic so why bother.
Not a bad car, but night and day with the boxster.
