I just called the local O'Reilly Auto parts and the Mobil1 75W-90 is $11.50 per quart!

Any reason we should get the Porsche one at more than twice the price?

I am thinking of changing the fluid too while the TX is out. Yes, I will remember to get the fill plug out first...

Yes it is worth it. All other gear oil will give you notchy and hard cold shifting. For as often as you have to change it it's worth the extra cost.

+1 If you do a search you'll find several posts where using non-Porsche OEM fluid caused problems.

Thanks. I've heard the name, but using Google search I get a Porsche dealership in Beaverton, Oregon.
