Sorry to hear about this......Jealousy and envy are everywhere unfortunately. My guess is they will catch them if they are known to be around that area, and if they were dumb enough to do that, they'll probably come back to the scene of the crime.....I say sock it to the parents of the kids....Let us know how this all comes out for ya...

Those.. mutha.. f*rs.... Those types of kids really need to pay for all the damages and more. I think I would be happy if someone keyed my car; cuz then I can have my insur company give me a new paint job! However, after that, I wouldn't want anyone to key anything. Sorry to here that; especially from South Coast?! What's up with that?

Trust me you don't want a repaint unless you have serious problem already. Diminishes value, long term color match is a problem, insurance not likely to paint entire car to near original standard.
Just pray some idiot does happen upon your car!
And I agree with your assessment of the perpetrators maternal sexual preferences.

Freaking idiots
The solution is as practiced by our Arab breathren a simple double digitectomy. I know of no other solution. The procedure is quite efficient since all you need is a rusty shrub trimmer. With a snip here and a snip there and snip snip everywhere look ma no fingers!

According to the bodyshop we are lookin at $3750 to repair... Yep lifes a ********************....
Good thing it was the Lexus and not my car....This poor car always takes the abuse...It rarely leaves the garage and when it does BAM....Its a 2001 LS 430 (first year of the new body) and it only has 17K miles on it.....Its been rear ended (lightly), Broken winshield from a huge rock, and cracked headlight from some**************** on the road, and now this....Kinda feel bad for it

Bastards! A digitectomy is too good for 'em!
I remember in my teens my Dad had spent 5 years restoring a '50 Chevy pickup (my first vehicle and still my favorite). For every Dad related occasion we would pitch in for some new part or update. Finally, after 5 years of restoration he had it painted a light grey with a burgandy pinstripe (to match the new burgandy houndstooth interior). The following Sunday he came out to find a HUGE gouge down that beautiful hood, across the shapely fenders, and through the painted grill. I seriously thought it might be the first time I'd see him cry. Luckily he had extra paint mixed.
I've never completely understood the phenomenon of "needing" to destroy or mar something beautiful.
I hope to hell they (or you) catch the bastards. Some dark alley would be appropriate....

Wow
That blows.
I go to that mall all the time and park in the garage right next to the police car and camera.
Sorry James that sucks.
So is the insurance comp. going to pay for a repaint?
There is the MOST AWESOME shop right down the street called Insurance Collision Center in Santa Ana. Lambo's, Ferrari's, Porsche's in there all the time. The CLEANEST and LARGEST body shop I have EVER seen. Plus I used them with my totalled Audi A4 not too long ago.

I will take the car to GOLDEN HAMMER in LA...They do Bently's, Ferrari's, Porsches...ETC...The are the ones who painted and installed my skirts on the Boxster...Great work, family has gone to the since 1978 according to my dad....
We will pay out of pocket for the repairs....$3750 isnt that bad, and its much easier than dealin with insurance.
