Oil Change every 15k miles?

One time I tried Mobil 1 High Mileage 10W30 and got engine clatter at start up. I immediately changed back to 0W40 within 2 days. No engine clatter at start up with 0W40.

probably due to the 10w of the oil. 0w is much thinner and flows much better when cold

My previous P-Car was a 2007 Cayman S. The FIRST scheduled oil change according to the owner's manual and the car's computer was 20K.
