There are no stupid questions...

My 986 doesn't have a cigarette lighter and I was going to buy THIS generic $3 lighter from China rather than pay $35 for the OEM.

Will it work, or did Porsche make it to where you MUST HAVE their lighter?

I saw some 23" rims cheap on Craigslist. How many spacers do I need?

If it a serious question Porsche uses a 21MM. Some standard Charge adaptors stay in but most vibrate out.

The original tires on my Boxter are only 11 years old, but the cords are starting to show.

Which brand of tires should I buy?

Well, that is not that easy, because a german e is pronounced i in english.

But i found this on the internet. It's a soundfile where a radio announcer says german words:

Brand names as they sound in German:
Adidas, Bayer, Braun, Porsche, Deutsche Bank, Lufthansa, Volkswagen

People and things:
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Dr. Seuss, Loess, Neanderthal, Gerhard Schröder, Steffi Graf, Sigmund Freud, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Henry Kissinger, Jörg Haider

File:
http://german.about.com/library/media/sound/words_a.mp3

Common German words in English as pronounced by Germans:
Kindergarten, Gesundheit, Poltergeist, Strudel, Dachshund, kaputt, Schadenfreude, verboten, Ersatz, Rottweiler, Gestalt, Weltanschauung, Angst, Fahrenheit, Frankfurter, Wiener, Zeppelin, Leitmotiv, Rucksack, Fahrvergnügen

File:
http://german.about.com/library/media/sound/words_b.mp3

Regards from germany
Markus

I have a base 2.7 and would like more power. I know a guy who will give me a 3.8 from a 991 GT-3 Cup car for free. Is this a drop in replacement? Can I run the stock ECU?

My Cayman is due for an oil change. What brand should I use?
(can't believe this one hasn't been asked yet)

And when I get that done, I saw a set of 996 turbo twists on CL for a killer price. They'll fit on a 986, won't they?
