The saga continues

The saga just seems to never end. I finally got my car back from the Porsche Certified repair facility. I had to pay for towing back and will be suing the other guys insurance company for reimbursement. After they unloaded my car I took a look at it and found a small issue.

I'm now waiting to hear back from both my insurance company and the repair shop.

I have no clue if that was from the accident or if it was done when they put things back together??? I am baffled that they let it leave the shop like that.

I've always thought that the FL Plate color matched the car well, most people don't notice it.

In addition to the color, that's one of the best plates I've seen. Personalized, but at first glance doesn't look it....

I'll be in Key West all next week, I hope I see the car, and I hope they fix it for you properly.

I'll bet that the shop missed seating the body coloured spoiler cover properly on the black metal spoiler frame. I've done it on mine... it's a 10 minute fix, at most.

It's the Elvis Presley tribute mod... gives it some swagger.

Make a point to ask that the manager confirm that the car is 100% before it's given back to you.
And that they NOT wash the car. Who know what else they'll break...

tomonomics, Stop in and say hello, I'm at Vino's on Duval or Grand Vin on Upper Duval every Friday Night. Just ask for the guy with the green Porsche.

Ebell914 EYW is the airport code for Key West International Airport.

BoxsterSteve, exactly how easy is this to fix? anyplace you can guide me to for more info would be very helpful

That looks like it's bent, doubtful it is simply a seating issue.

Sorry about your issues. I was pretty certain it wasn't the easy fix others alluded to..........

seating issue... happened to mine a couple times .... they probably missed the hole with one of the plastic inserts under the spoiler. Raise the spoiler manually and check it out.

its a pretty flexible piece of plastic.

What he said...
Hopefully that's all it is. If not, you'll have to take it back and .
Holy crap, what's it take to put a customer's car back together properly?

looks like you have some hazing in the back window or maybe its just fog. Either way this is the go to product when you need clarity, good on headlights, tailights, your helmet visor, etc.

Because it looks better body color, hahah. Okay, so I've got a Volvo wagon for my son. He has the V70 SE - painted trim. Banged it up last summer, I bought a door and fender of the same color and hung them. Unfortunately, the trim was not painted on the replacement parts.

What it is good for though is a side-by-side comparison between painted and unpainted trim. Now, honestly - which looks better? (Yeah, it's a bad angle).

well we all know what opinions are like, and we all have them LOL
I have Arctic Silver and I much prefer black bumperettes, it gives it some contrast

No ones going around trying to paint the tires. I like a touch of black on a car.

Since this has now become a bumperette thread, I thought I would toss in my opinion, backed by visual data.

For your consideration:

Unpainted

Painted

My preference is to see them painted on lighter-colored cars such as my arctic silver, but unpainted looks fine on dark colors. The term that comes to mind when I look at a light-colored car with painted bumperettes is "clean." I would also remind everyone that Porsche started painting bumperettes on the 987.

Also, the Boxster prototype didn't have anything to mar the clean rear bumper:
