Because it looks better body color, hahah. Okay, so I've got a Volvo wagon for my son. He has the V70 SE - painted trim. Banged it up last summer, I bought a door and fender of the same color and hung them. Unfortunately, the trim was not painted on the replacement parts.
What it is good for though is a side-by-side comparison between painted and unpainted trim. Now, honestly - which looks better? (Yeah, it's a bad angle).
