I personally am not that familiar with 996 TT cars, I would guess there is a fair amount of crap / turbo related plumbing to remove to get to the chain or valve cover gaskets. It would prove interesting to hear what JFP in PA thinks of these cars and their potential issues, his opinion is the one I would seek out if in the market.
