Yeah I would love to have a Cayenne Turbo. I know a lot think it is fugly but to me, a SUV that handles like a Porsche? That's a win win situation.

It is a truck.
I hate trucks.
Moreover, if one listens to the guys who own Cayeene's as they wait at the service dept., it makes it sound like they are a total piece of junk.
Makes one wonder.

I really don't know anything about the Cayenne (service history, piece of junk, etc). I think we are just commenting on the idea of a very fast vehicle that fit all of our crap in it. I have to drive 2 hours to ski and I would love to put my friends and skis in there and haul ass up to the slopes. I just like the idea.
If I am ever in a position to afford it, I would not hesitate to buy the Panamera or Panamerica (whatever the new four door is called). Driving a Porsche is awesome, being able to stick your friends in a share the experience would be even better.

Fugly? Ha! What a great word combination, and a true single-word oxymoron as well, of which there are precious few, if any!

Hi,
I think it's ironic that people will Bash and Malign a Boxster with Tiptronic S as not being a True Sports Car, degrading what a True Porsche is all about, all the while singing the praises of some Hyped-Up Truck on Steroids, simply because it has a Porsche Emblem.
For me at least, I think such folly demonstrates a certain degree of ignorance, but that's just me...
Happy Motoring!... Jim'99

IMO it's two different beasts. I don't see either having anything to do with Porsche, rather having to do with sports cars and SUV's. Wether or not anyone likes or dislikes the Cayenne and/or the fact that Porsche makes it, it is still by all standards an SUV (though I'm sure SUV fanatics would argue otherwise). The Cayenne Turbo S is an SUV with rockets on the back. Is it a sports car? No. But I am half suprised there isn't a Dodge emblem with the Hemi logo on the side. Where as the Boxster is a sports car in it's purest form. Apples and Oranges.
That being said, my opinion has changed on Tiptronic in the Boxster. Where as I still don't like it for myself; if that's what others prefer, more power to them.
