The idea is to get those sensors all over your kids cars so they dont back into your Porsche.
The Porsche needs the higher tech, more expensive, all in one dual din touch screen radio, DVD, CD etc backup camera because....its a Porsche. 
...and because its amusing to review the rear video of pickup trucks going off road while trying to keep up in the twisties.
