I do, in fact a few. Yesterday I spent an hour and a half installing rear back-up sensors in my daughter's Civic, I'm frankly surprised at how well they work for $30 from Amazon. Sprayed them with some matching DupliColor before the install. I wish I had done this to my son's Corolla before he backed it into a brick wall that was too short for him to see a couple of years back.

I know none of you guys will be doing this anytime soon on your P-Cars but figured I'd share, it was a fun and cheap project that could potentially save some teenage tears. My daughter knows exactly how to play me......:cheers:

Nice job. I never knew these were available after market - and so cheap.

You might wnat to get her out to Street Survival School also. My daughter did that a few years ago, and is now an instructor.

All my kids go through that school within a year of getting their permits, best $75 you can spend. Where else can you get that kind of fun (a dawn dishwashing liquid soaked skid pad) for so little money?

When my son did it awhile back his car was one of two manuals in the crowd of 45 or so vehicles. It also shocked me the number of BMW's there :eek:.

Wow, those sensors look pretty good ... or should I say that they are not incredibly bulky and tacky? Either way, great job!

Both of my sons attended a high performance teen driving school when they got their licenses and both attended racing school when they turned 18 so they could start doing track days. I have tried to get them to understand that "fast" is for the track, not the street.

Did you use your million dollar floor jack to do the install ? :)

Those look nice. I would like to have a set of these on my Boxster. With the top up, the rear view is horrendous.

There are literally thousands of kits on Amazon that do the same basic thing. Most have displays / gizmos that do much more than what I wanted which was simply to beep when you have something behind the car while in reverse. The kit I bought:

Not one bit. These would be great on a Boxster.

Apparently you have no idea what a man card is for.

The idea is to get those sensors all over your kids cars so they dont back into your Porsche.

The Porsche needs the higher tech, more expensive, all in one dual din touch screen radio, DVD, CD etc backup camera because....its a Porsche. :p

...and because its amusing to review the rear video of pickup trucks going off road while trying to keep up in the twisties.

Although relatively easy, they still need to be properly aligned which you have clearly achieved with grande precision!!!

yea they are cheap and believe it or not but it is common to see them on the "front" + rear bumpers of some cars here. Seen a few from my rear-view mirror.... makes me very nervous each time
