Some people may have different ideas of what forward is. Are you pushing the stalk towards the dash? That is how you set the cruise control speed.

Yes, but it does not take over the speed. Just green dash light.

Anyone....are there multiple fuses that run the pedal separate from the dash light? Is the cruise function all in the wand?

Try to inspect the switch at the clutch pedal.
It looks like the brake lights switch, but has only 2 wires.
