Fun stuff today. Pulled out the temp. control module and replaced the LCD screen using the ModuleMaster kit. Super easy and great results.

Also clayed the car for the first time. Lots of work and will admit, on a 12 year old car, sometimes you are better to leave a bit of dirt on there! Great, now to find some touch up paint.

Claying and waxing sure makes it smooth, but any paint blemishes will really show through. Oh - and if you have that 3M coating on the hood - be careful with the clay. It will stick get under the edge and make a mess. Go with the grain, not against it.

Installed the OBC stalk into the column assembly, wired it up with Pdwight's cable, and activated it with the Durametric. Success!

OK, the lights......there is a very fine line between Neat and Cheesy. I am 58 years old and I have to admit I like your lights. Did you have to drill a hole to install these and if so how did you treat the hole to prevent rust in the future ?

Thanks
Dwight

Headlight refresh.

New pads all around, fluid flush and refreshed the paint on the calipers.

And finally HID install.

Nice Job

Tell me a little about the Calipers and how you did that, also did you replace the decals or paint the Porsche on them ?

Also what is the rod sticking out from the wheel...a guide rod ??

That comes with your tool kit to help put the wheels back on the car. Little more difficult to do when not using.

I used VHT Red Caliper paint and some clear VHT. You can get the decals from eBay. Put them on before the clear Here are some links:

Just prepped & painted them with high temp enamel. They are decals I painted over with clear enamel.

Got my CV's replaced (all 4) as 3 were torn as well as both my rear control arms. My box is A LOT quieter now going over those bumps! Price wasn't crazy at just under $1600 all in, but going to have to start learning how to do some of this myself.

Replaced my rear mud/rock flaps, got two new ones for like $120 shipped. 30 minutes it looks so much better.

I should have done this sooner....but I followed my maxim...fix any drive related issues before cosmetics

No one will mistake this one for a garage queen.

Put some numbers on the S.

Going to MSR-Cresson for my first PCA event in this car.

Cleaned the nasty fiberglass fluff off of my rear bumper. 200 miles on the new muffler and still coming out.

Also installed my home made $.85 bumper plugs

Blaupunkt Toronto 420 install so I can stream music. Used the stock amp.

Looks ok for aftermarket. The engine sounds better.

Replaced the spark plugs today. It's much easier changing plugs on a Boxster than changing plugs on a big V8 with headers.

Mountain drive to the top of Caesars head

Now I am fiddling with the radio to hook up a USB for the car.
