Finally got around to applying the roof protectant (Techquipment) last night, since it's been sitting in the garage for the past few weeks after I scrubbed the canvas clean. At least I can take it out, now.

Washed and waxed (so it would rain - and it did - for all of 2 mins). Cleaned and add protectant to the top. Changed the oil, still need to cut the filter open and send in sample to Blackstone. Second time putting in DT40. Not sure what the analysis will show as I didn't flush the system from Mobile 1 before putting in DT40 for the first time last time. Had my indy read the cam deviation since I don't know when they were last serviced, left bank at 2.2 and right at 0 - so seems ok for now.

I swapped out a wonky rad fan ballast resistor and front bumper corner trims & mud-flaps.
It feels great to DIY, not to mention the money you don't spend on labour.
The car is still filthy from my road trip to Indianapolis 2 weekends ago. Meh, I'll wash it later.

Installed the new spoiler, had to realign the trunk lid just just a hair, but other than that it was a perfect fit.

Smile Small items

Bill let me work on his Boxster today
Replaced the front orange side marker lenses
With gray ones. Big difference in the looks
Dept. in a good way.

Also installed the screens on the top drain trays.
Bill and I try to keep the car looking as nice as we
Can for a daily driver. we have had the car since
March 2014. Saw something out of the corner of
My eye when checking to make sure the side marker lamps
Worked.i saw this large oak leaf peaking out from under
The seat. Where did that come. So cleaned the
Leather and rugs really well

Finally installed my oil pressure and oil temp gauges.

Also fixed a broken convertible top speedo cable.

Hoping I can monitor oil temps on track and determine if an external oil cooler is necessary.

I was tired of hearing my wheel centers rattle (stock 17" twisties with colored emblem wheel centers) every time I hit a bump at low speed, so I pulled them, wiped the wheel and back of wheel center with isopropyl alcohol then ran a thin bead of Loctite 5900 flange sealant. No more rattling.

Used 5900 because I had some left over from a recent sump cover removal, it's gray, and sets up quickly. Time will tell how it will hold up to heat and vibration...

Finally finished installing the rear speakers (factory speakers with shelf from another forum member) on my 2001 Boxster S. Harness from Becker, white roll-bar clip from a local BMW dealer. Definitely improved the sound of the CDR220 in my Boxster!
