Dug out the snows from the back of my shop. While cleaning them a stick on balance weight fell off. The po had painted them and now their flaking on the inside. So off to the tire store today.

I have the Deoxit on hand, so should be easy job. Thanks! Of course, the stereo is a secondary concern in a car like the Box. I just am annoyed when things don’t function as they should. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Bought her a used replacement 2.7 engine.
Plugged in the to convertible top relay and tried the dash button. IT'S ALIVE! Then promptly broke the plastic linkage that attaches the control rod to the top! Buying new heavy duty steel linkages (Uro) from Ama zon this very moment! There is NO such thing as a cheap Boxster! |

The plastic is there for a reason, and is meant to break so a binding top does not bend the control arms or damage the top motor. Use the plastic ball sockets. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
Purchased Service Manual (Bentleys) I have to say, unless you are tearing down the engine, the service manual is not necessary; You Tube and this Forum covers pretty much in detail any support you need to conduct periodic and regular maintenance.

I packed up my Boxster for the 500 mile trip down to VIR for my 3rd and final HPDE of 2017. Weather forecast for Friday and Saturday is great, Sunday may be cooler and rainy!

Swapped my custom center console from my old (2002 Boxster S) to my new to me (2001boxster s w/3.8 conversion). While I had it out I added a custom garage remote pocket.

Thanks Keith, thought it might be a DIY job, I’m in Ireland so shipping costs alone would make it unviable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Can I get more details please on how this fix is performed? What product needs to be sprayed on the knob encoder, and where specifically should it be applied? Is radio removal beforehand recommended, and to what extent does the radio need to be disassembled? Would you consider writing a DIY for it? |
I was looking for new rubber but a local club member was selling a set of 18” Cayman wheels with 70% tyres.
After considering costs and options it seemed like the smart choice. So as it’s the last weekend on the road I said I’d throw them on for a trial and see what changes if any might need doing over the winter. Seems like all clearances are good. Will know for sure very soon. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...748f42dcef.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

If you've worked with fiberglass at all it can be a diy project. I developed the skills repairing jet skis  |
