Moved it out of my lift bay to make room for the 540i whose fine ZF/Lemforder center link has been recalled. I love parts made in the third world labled as "German." A really fun job to do--twice.

I'm not one for design, but I think leaving the rims as they are but adding a red accent line all the way around. Something like this:

Funny you should say that.

It says do it in 30 minutes or less. I have that little tool. Been sitting in my tool chest for almost 2 years. It along with a couple rolls the red pinstripe. :(

You've inspired me to dust off the cobwebs.

Cheers!

Did you end up using the 718 piece or did it not work out. Hard to tell from the picture.

No unfortunately it was too brittle to fit against the curvature of the wing. I ended up.breaking it. So I ordered letters to replicate it. The wing is curved horizontally and vertically so the stencil that came with the letters was useless. I wish it was perfect but Im gonna leave for awhile.

No, that was on Guanella. We drove up from Grant on 285 up and over to Georgetown, then to Idaho Springs to CR 103 by Echo Lake and over Juniper Pass, and down Witter Gulch to Evergreen Lake.

It’s such a beautiful area and roads built for Porsches!

Next time I go for a cruise upon my return I'll check to see if at all it helped keep the trunk heat down, and will report upon this forum my findings.

Twice I've taken the car out, and to operating temperature. Now... I didn't install the barrier on the left side or right side of the trunk... just under the middle piece of wood.

I have noticed a reasonably substantial mitigation of heat. I put my hand on top of the carpet, in the middle... and it most certainly is less HOT... likewise the ambient trunk air when I open the trunk lid. So... it worked for me. One of these days again I'll pull up all the trunk carpet... and finish off the two sides.

Here's the product I used, and I've plenty left over.

A template for the duck tail curvature? Its curved side to side and up and down. The deck lid template won't work, they came with one.

JBauer 10-09-2019 04:17 PM

Painted the lower center bumper and tailpipe surround dark gray to match spoiler and front spitter.

Love that scheme, I had a porshce model car when I was a kid with that scheme. I think it was called the Martini Rossi team.

Zzorro 10-11-2019 04:45 PM

I swapped my 17" OEM twists for Victor Equipment Lemans 18".

Black face with polished rims on an ocean blue metalic car look good.

The 265s in the back look so fat compared to the 225s that were on before........but the whole setup def adds weight. Looks great though.

Installed some cross drilled rotors in the rear and changed the pads. Made another DIY for it.

Installed GT3 master cylinder yesterday and bled brakes/clutch with rbf600. Made my own one man brake bleeding catch bottle with some 1/4“ tubing and a Gatorade bottle. Worked great. Having that and the pressure brake bleeder makes brake bleeding a breeze.

Brake feel is great and travel is reduced to help with pedal elevation on heel/toe.
