I went for a cruise in the country, and stopped by a film location for the Hunger Games, about 4-5 miles from my house.

Did a nice trip from Nuremberg to near Moenchengladbach (463 km) in 3:14 h :)

SCCA Autocross, Great weather, good turn out.
Made 5 runs, no cones killed, better time on each run....a good day

1. I replaced the passenger side door lock and micro switch. Finally fixed the problem with my window not dropping when I open the door!

2. Added a chrome bezel to my gauge cluster. It is a really nice upgrade to brighten up the interior.

88 MPH average?

The missus and I did some serious top-down motoring this afternoon and carved some apexes on the way to BFE in East Texas.

Never get tired of this stuff.............

Finished installing a 3.6 engine in my 2003 Boxster. Turned it over and drove 4 miles.

Drove the heck out of it at Mid-Ohio

Worked on the impossible to clean Fikse alloys,buffed the twin exhaust pipe tips and gave "thumbs up" to a cool new black Abarth by Fiat!

Dropped mine off for its new top.. I bought the ADT black with glass window.. Hopefully be done tomorrow.

Took the car out for a drive on the parkway and saw the new projector install in the daylight for the first time ;)

It seems every small town in Nebraska has one restaurant - I believe state law requires that it be an absolute dive - that serves pretty good food. Tonight we drove out to Stockman's in Amherst, for prime rib and a beer. Sunny, only about 45*, but nicer than it's been in days. (It snowed on Wednesday!!) Forecast for the weekend looks good - hopefully the crappy weather is behind us!

2.5 hour drive through the back roads of East Texas with the missus, hunting down the bluebonnets that dot the Texas roadside every spring.

Yesterday was detail and maintenance day, today was drivetime only.

Never get tired of this stuff.

p.s Got premium gas for $3.56 this morning.

New brakes, rotors pads & fluid flush. Ready for driving season!!

Just gave the box a nice clean and polish - i am new to this site and its very good to be a part of it and see how much love there is for boxsters all over the world!

Placed an order from DC Auto for a used fuel pump and sending unit. I hope I can get my Boxster back on the road soon! It's been three weeks now... :rolleyes:

Ordered replacement AOS and window regulator. Can't wait to get Brenda back in tip top shape!

Then it rained for two days :(

Drove it to work. It's going to be 70+ degrees and sunny for the ride home:dance:! I guess I'll have to take the long way home through the curvey, winding hills of Southern Indiana :)

I raced some really annoying guy in a blacked-out Audi. He started pacing me, then following, then came up alongside with clear road in front of us.

What can a girl do except floor it? PDK downshifted from 5th to 2nd and flew off, close to 90.

He valiantly tried to keep up, but traffic was getting heavy so I got behind another car and finally let him pass.

Picked up my dad at Phila airport with the top down. Pulled up to the curb right in front of him. He looked down at my little sports car. Looked at the box like - who is this A-H in the Porsche. When I got out to help with his bags, it registered, this is his son's car. Then the big P-car grin came to his face.
- I had never told him I had gotten a Boxster

He had that P-car grin all the way home

Pulled into the driveway, he was suddenly sad - "I just want to sit it some more" as I put the top up.
Now he knows how I feel when the drive is over

Open house at the P car dealer for the local PCA chapter on Sunday. Drove up with the top down in the freezing cold. Looked at the new Boxsters and the new Cayman. It was a mistake.

Zip-tied my clutch safety switch after the new replacement had the same non-starting issues as the old one. It appears that zip-tying it did the trick. I think that there are times that the physical action of the clutch causes the switch not to close on older cars, but tying it does the trick:-)).

Unwrapped it (yesterday) from storage. Woohoo!!!! Hoping it doesn't snow Thursday as forecast.

did the broke boxster soft top mod as they are out of SmartTop relays.

also started going over a few items after talking with a few Porsche Crews from the Long Beach Gran Prix.

Put away in the garage for three weeks. Waiting for my flight to Germany.

Replaced the passenger side radiator fan. Not too difficult. I took my time and worked on another vehicle as well and made a day of it. It rained all weekend anyway so it was time well spent.

Changed the passenger side brake light bulb. Was pretty easy to get to :) I didn't change the other side though... I will keep an eye on it :)

I took my winter wheels off (turbo twists) and decided to give them a touch up respray.
While working them over I thought i'd try something a little different and taped off and sprayed the center crest caps with green accent to match the car.

It's in the 80's here already. Too hot for the top down.

DK, you must be in Northern WI, still trapped in snow cover. Milwaukee area has been free of snow's grip for about 3 weeks, but this past week was the first time temps rose above 40. Was able to drive a bit last Saturday, Monday and Wed.

This weekend we should be in the 50s or higher. Ready to daily drive it once again. Depending on your location, you're probably only 1-2 weeks behind.

Was 65 degrees here today, changed the oil in 3 of the Porsches including my 01 986, will try to do the other 2 tomorrow.

Five Porsches!! When do you find the time to drive them all?
