If that "driving experience" would be worth that price to you, then that's great. If I wanted a different driving experience, i would simply sell my 986 and buy it. For $279,000 I can buy over a dozen cars I would rather have than an old Porsche. I would certainly opt for a 1969 Ferrari Daytona over that P. I would opt for that "driving experience" . To each man his own preference. . And again, I would opt for a much newer twin turbo if I wanted to feel G's. Otherwise, I would drop a TT in my Boxster for 1/10th the price and have "the" driving experience.

Yeah. That's it. I appreciate a different car than you and I'm no fan? Cute.

There's sports cars and there's GTs. No right or wrong, just different. But the "experience" that you put in quotes is significantly different.

Yep. And I prefer sports cars. That's why I drive a Boxster not a GT. Happy Motoring.

As much as I love my Boxster, it's pretty numb compared to a sports car like an unassisted 911 that's 400 pounds lighter. It's why I'll never sell my 2300 pound Rx7.
