is there any cheap way removing an outie? I have a tiny one on the trunk. Left a shoe box back there and the simple cardboard banged against the inside. Its hard to notice, not enough to repaint but its annoying.

I don't know of any. I have a dent guy, so he handles this for me. Given the paint finish, how highly visable the flat surface is, I am loathe to try this myself.

The golf club dilemma is an interesting one, especially since one of the original design parameters for the Boxster was supposed to have been the ability to accomodate a set of clubs. (see "Porsche Boxster" by John Lamm, p.63).
While separating the load into the clubs in one compartment, and the bag in another, I suppose could be spun into qualifying as the ability to carry a set of clubs, I submit that the Boxster design team fell short on that one.
Perhaps the solution is to use the Beemer SUV for golf outings. Sadly, this prevents the grand entrance in the Porsche into the club parking lot on Saturday morning, but what are you going to do?

They installed my Boxster bike rack and sell a golf bag attachment.
THe entire unit slides into pipe sleeves that bolt underneath the car.
So when not in use its not at all visible. They also have a ski/snowboard rack
for you Colorado ski guys. It takes about 20 minutes to install at your trustee
mechanics garage (much easier with a lift).
