Secondary Air injection

How do I get to this part my engine light is on?

The secondary air system on the M96 has multiple components and a whole bunch of air lines and connections; it is a system and not one device. You need to get all of the specific codes to know what is up, and I would suggest running a search on the subject as this is a fairly common diagnostic area for these engines.

secondary air injection

Thanks JFP I did that it says I have a PO 410 Secondary Air Injection system malfuction and PO 154 Oxygen Senor Circuit no activity detected bank 2 sensor 1. I figure it is a vacuum hose leak

P0410 indicates that the air injection pump is not triggering. Often causes are wiring/fuse; bad pump or the change over valve.

P0154 is an interruption of either the signal or ground wire to the O2 sensor ahead of the cat on cylinder bank 4-6.

JFP what should one expect to pay for repairing the S A I system ? Parts and Labor.
