That's the opinion of several folks here, but I think the fact is that Mobil 1 (no e at the end of Mobil), is still today an approved oil for Porsche cars, and that you'll probably still see that sticker below the trunk of new Porsches sold (because Exxon pays them and meets their specs). Now, whether or not Mobil 1 is the best choice of oil for your Porsche is up to debate. Many here don't like it, and prefer Castrol Syntec full synthetic instead.
