Highest '02 base I know of is around 230k miles by now

and a daily driver. Heck he has taken it on 5k+ trips after 200k. No work inside the engine.

So can your car go on forever? Darn near. He changes oil every 5k and pretty routine stuff other than that.

2000 S with 124,xxx miles. I bought it in Feb '06 with 60,000 on it. I change the oil every 5,000. I've added headers, guttted the cats, and opened up the muffler (the sound is phenomenal!). I also added an EVO intake with AEM dry-flow filter. The struts were replaced with K-sports, and I've got R-comps for AXing. There are a few other mods here and there.
I've AXed the car for 3 seasons, winning the Boxster class with the local PCA, and finishing in the upper third with the SCCA and another local organization. No babying here.
She runs great, doesn't use much oil, and hasn't given me any headaches other than the expected stuff: AOS, CV boots, MAF. Oh yeah, original coolant tank and clutch!

2005 2.7L with 76,600 miles. Basic maintenance and one AOS replacement.

The car's still a blast to drive and driven nearly every single day as it has for the last 4+ years.

I don't know if it is considered high mileage but here we go.
2002 2.7 5-speed. 87k miles. Its my DD and It sees all kinds of weather and driving conditions. Havent had any major probles yet... Knock on wood.
Just replaced the AOS, RMS slowly leaks, CV boots are starting to crack (this weekends project). Clutch biting point is prety high but doesn't slip yet. Fairly reliable car so far.

97 with 128K. Second owner, no major services. Feels like I'm going to need a new tranny soon though.

Not Knocking on wood

Marine surveyers knock on wood to find out if there is any dry rot. I don't need to find anymore rot on our sailboat, it has plenty already.
2000 S with 103,000 miles, just the usual stuff and a finicky 2nd gear shift which I hear is fairly typical for these years. Bought it a year and a half ago and put 7500 miles on it. Just did my first DIY oil change and I appreciated all the jacking threads. Car is so low my floor jack wouldn't even go under it.
Got spoiled owning the van for so long. Didn't have to jack it up to change the oil on it! Just put down the cardboard and slide under it with a wrench and a pan.
FYI, don't waste your time with a Harbor Freight cap style oil filter wrench. It doesn't fit the Boxster oil filter housing very well. I was only able to get it to work by modifying it on the lathe to get it to seat deeper on the plastic housing. Most of you don't have access to a metal lathe.
Just bought a OBD II reader also. Now I can deal with those CELs without having to go to the shop or $tealership.
Met a friend for lunch last week and the waitress loved the Pcar. Didn't have to twist her arm to get her to sit in the car for a pic. This place blew me away, they have over 400 different kinds of bottled beer for sale and 700 different wines too, unreal.

I'm in Seattle area, but I don't recognize the place (in the background?). Where is it?

Likely just needs new syncros and a freshening. We've done a few of these.
