...a 2002 GSXR750

Not really a practical alternative, but it's a lot cheaper to crash on the track!

My other car is a 2003 Mazda 6. V6, manual tranny. Very good car, one of the best handling front wheel drive cars I've driven. I'm considering getting the Mazdaspeed 6 when it comes out. Like F1CAR4ME said, "gotta love turbocharging". And all-wheel-drive.

In India, Soniya means beautiful and well formed - other languages share that meaning for Sonia/Sophia. Certain actresses named Sonja, and Sophia share that allure. But mostly because that's what she told me her name was.

My real question (unresolved) was whether to spell it Sonia or Sonja.

Talking a Subie!

Soon to have Brembo discs and Hawk pads all around .

Bought this before the Boxster. Great car for New England, never fails to get me through the snow to snowshoeing and ski areas and to northcountry hiking trailheads in warmer weather. As compared to the Boxster, can travel at the same highway speeds with no yahoos or police paying any attention... it does take a bit more time to get up to those speeds though !

One side of my family owns nothing but Subarus, something like 15 cars at this point. No problems with any of them of significance, and the dealer treats you like gold if there is. Compare that to our favorite sports car marque's dealer experience!

My wife is on her third Outback Wagon. She loves them, so do I. Nothing better in the snow and rain.

What year? My last car was a black/black 2003 Passat V6 5spd. I loved it to death until it met its demise. (Saved my life though)

I'm sooo jealous. I've been a huge Esprit fan since Motor Trend arrived in '88 with one of the 88 special edition Esprits with the blue and white interior. It was kind of my first choice when I was shopping for a toy car, but reliability concerns and the fact that it's not a convertable drove me away. Once I have the Boxswter paid off, if I'm in the position to be able to afford another toy I think I will give it a very serious look as it won't be driven near as much as the boxster and I should be able to maintain it a bit more easily because of that.

Is yours one of the 88 with the blue-white interior and dash plaque? How about a picture!!!

I'm in the opposite position as you, my Esprit is paid off and the boxter has another year of payments. The boxster was paid off, but I bought the Esprit cash so I borowed a little against the Boxster.

The Esprit handles better than the boxster and is of course faster, but if you're planning to purchase one, you should be handy woth the wrench. Otherwise this car will be quite expensive to run. Bur working on it yourself is quite rewarding, after all you're basically working on a race car

Mine is actually Red, I'll post pics this weeked of the boxster and the Esprit.

My Other Cars...

I own a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero Sport SUV (no picture...they're everywhere!), and a 1978 Fiat 124 Spider. See web site: http://members.cox.net/wpwalsh/images/fiatside01.jpg

BTW, how does one attach an image to their member info (like the rest of you)?
