A jumper wire is a term used meaning to connect two different wires together. In this case all the jumper wire does is tell the amp to turn on (remote turn on) so this wire can be soldered or use the wire tap as is does not run a high current. What ever method you use just make sure it is secured and it does not come off or loose also no bare wire is exposed because that will be a live/hot wire.
