Don't forget the Radio Alarm fix..........

I just did the Traffic Pro thing last month, real easy instal.

The one thing not listed is to place a piece of electrical tape on drivers side of the TP unit. When you pull your current head unit you will notice a piece of plastic/teflon that insulated the alarm contact for the radio. Just place a piece of tape in that general area on the TP and you should be good. If you don't, every time you enable the alarm it will chirp twice like a door is unsecure.

I could not place the GPS antenna under the alarm LED piecs, so I placed it next to it. It is black and blends in, looks like a satellite radio antenna you see on the trunk of some cars.

The only drawback I'm finding is nonexistent updated map data and every time you want to "navigate" you have to remove your music CD and insert the nav CD, enter your destination, then reinsert your music CD. I don not think this would not be an issue if you have the CD changer.

I guess it is true, Every choice has consequenses!
