hey, joe torre is the greatest, you have to admitt he is classy (opinion) worthy of starting a thread....
hey Joe Torre sucks (differing opinion) not of the founding fathers, worthy to brand all those in favor immature and locking the thread
too bad bogg, personally I stopped following the thread as it was going nowhere and I do agree with Mr Lee that everyone breaking the law and taking shots at the cops was uncalled for.......just don't cry wolf...come or go I say....otherwise this thread is a waste of time and your voice...
now I have to go back and read about the big global warming debate.....zzzzz.....zzzzz....zzzzz....zzzzz....zz zzz.....

Bogg, there are hundreds of reasons to stay part of the Forum. Don't let one member ruin it for you. He may be the co-owner, but he does not make this Forum what it truly is, it is the hundreds of active members that make this site worthwhile.
Ignore.
And rise above.

I would not like for this forum to shut down, that was not my motive for saying what I did. I enjoy many things about it. Like me, though, it is not perfect. To have a single person who will not allow any disagreement with his thoughts, see Joe Torre--and YES I did play pro ball for awhile, or that same someone who disregards his own rules, see rule#4 and Global Warming Debate, be the censor is one of the problems which the forum has. There is no rule stating that road racing is not allowed, but it gets removed and the poster is chastised. The one thing that brings us all to this forum is our love of our cars. When this many people get together there are bound to be groups of people with similar tastes and others who dislike those same things. As long as people are respectful of others ideas , and the forum is not used for unlawful purposes what difference does it make what the threads deal with as long as the basic premise is a group of P-Car owners getting together to shoot the ********************. Well, my account hasnt been deleted yet so I figure I will let you guys know im still alive. I may be taking a stand against the power, and it will be futile, but I will be happier for myself. It sucks, but sacrifices are hard for a reason. As far as boycotting the sponsors, I dont care. I just dont want to be belittled and treated as a number. So if thats true it wont matter that im gone. If we are such a tight knit community (which we are) how come the co-owner seems to not even like this job. Seems silly to me, and it definitely shows on the forum. Having moderators on a site this big would at least allow some equality in views. But alas.
"The people shouldnt fear the government, its the government that should fear the people." Oh how untrue that has been in the past several years.
Farewell.
Jon
P.S. Robert, Im giving you control of the FB group.

Look, people are going to frequently disagree with one another on a website or in real life. I know I do -- sometimes I post it, too.
Bruce happens to be a owner (or co-owner, I really don't know what the situation is nor do I feel it is important one way or the other) and what people have to understand is that he does have authority to do as he sees fit -- much like George Steinbrenner does with the Yankees. You can agree, disagree even hate the choices somebody makes, but when it all is said and done, this site is his site (or co-his site). I've often disagreed with him, some of you and some other members who don't seem to frequent this site much anymore. Sure, sometimes a thread gets locked down before you can get the last word in (or an owner decides what the last word will be), but I chalk that up to his right -- as an owner. This is not a democracy. I accept that. In the grand scheme, I'm not losing any sleep about getting in the last word on an internet forum.
What I don't understand is all this drama about people declaring that they are going. I'm not specifically trying to pick on anyone as this is a recurrring theme on this forum (and others) -- people get frustrated curse out the owner or another member(s) and perform a swan song. Why not just PM the owner (or the offending member) and try to find common ground? My guess is that the result will be the same as whatever you hope to get out of this thread. Seriously, if this group is as tight-knit as implied, I'm sure you have each other's email and can let your "friends" know what's what. Alternatively, you can just leave and start your own website and see how well you'll fare. On a personal note, I find my life too busy and important to do that myself, so I'll continue to abide by the rules of others, or find another forum. Viva capitalistas!

Clif notes:
(i) bogg got a ticket and was pissed
(ii) people either sided with him ("cops suck") or against ("don't rag on cops"); some inferred name calling
(iii) some comments were made about the merits of relationships
(iv) Bruce closed the thread
(v) This thread was bourne. Jason-Bourne Style.

'kin ell people.
Dude you dont want to leave the site plus you would end up floating in and regretting it in the future. Memories are always short dude, i dont know your pain with the girl hurting you but woman man, they can explode any guys life up.
Remember its an internet site so dont take it to heart, its all peoples opinions from every walk of life. Everyone looks at everything differently from each other and the more experienced guys would think 'its only a girl' my dad would, and we one day will, 'you' will, plus in 6 months you wont even remember properly what she looks like.
my 2 cents are your a single guy with a freekin Porsche,
relax and enjoy kid!!!
James
