Uh Whaaa?

So you locked my thread, were rude, inconsiderate of my feelings (oh whatever, the girl he was gonna marry ruined his life), and you make me out to look like a sympathy whore. I did not look for sympathy and I never implied I wanted any. I merely stated what happened and the events leading up to that. Ive contributed a whole lot of information to this site and I get called "some guy"...

The nerve... So this will be my exit. Ive met plenty of good people through here and learned a lot, but I dont see myself sticking around anymore. So you can delete my account since there isnt an option anywhere for me to do it myself.

Here is the picture I took of the spot in question on my return trip home to show my side of the story. I was ahead of him by 3 cars at the beginng of the no pass zone, and when I crested the hill I was ahead of him by a foot. The cones were only a few hundred feet away.

Dude don't leave.

Grizzly 11-12-2007 08:08 PM

C'mon Bogg. You don't take your toys and go home over that. We were having a discussion and Bruce shut it down. That's his prerogative. You disagree with his choice of words. You're pissed. You have a lot of **************** going on right now. I get it, but delete this post and forget it. You're bigger than that.

djomlas 11-12-2007 08:15 PM

yeah man, dont leave, you contribute a lot here and we like you around here.

are you sure youre not leaving couse ure a poser? :D

nola911 11-12-2007 08:16 PM

Grizz is right man, we all come on here to talk about the good, the bad, and the ugly. We don't have to always agree with each other to call each other "cyber" friends. This is a good sight and it has a nice backbone. Don't sweat the thread being deleted, it was going off course anyway (I'm guilty).

Have a drink, go to bed, wake up happy and stick around.

Frodo 11-13-2007 04:59 AM

Yeah, Bogg, what they said goes for me too. (And, I suspect, the majority of the forum members.)

unklekraker 11-13-2007 06:11 AM

i agree with what everyone has said here esp. Grizz

Gary in BR 11-13-2007 06:41 AM

Bogg,

I'll add my vote for you staying around. We have all had women do crazy things to us, no one here will look at you any different for blowing up and staying part of us.

I mean man we already lost that guy in MN we dont need to lose you too.

Gary

Bogg, having been going through something very similar for the past few months, I imagine that this has a lot to do with how you're feeling. Very few people can understand or remember how something like this feels at the very moments they were going through it. Because of that, most people just end up making comments and giving their advice from the perspective of someone who is long past it. In other words, they'll say things like "plenty of fish in the sea", or "you'll get over it", or "don't worry about it". As I've stated, I'm going through something very similar to you, and I realise that those things can often only serve to make you feel like others are belittling your situation and that they don't understand. I also know that the whole thing can leave you on edge, irritable, miserable and feeling either hopeless or that the deck is completely stacked against you (e.g., your comment about nothing going your way since the incident with your girl).

My point is that I DO understand how you're feeling, and I can also relate to the fact that you said your only real enjoyment and happiness lately is coming from your car. At times like these, you need embrace whatever makes you happy and make the most of it. I think that also includes participating here with others who enjoy their cars just as much as you do. You're entitled to vent, and sometimes people don't realise your frustrations and comments can be amplified by your situation. Try not to let the thread being locked bother you, and also just try to be a little more aware of how your personal feelings can affect your comments or actions as you work through this time in your life.

Feel free to shoot me a PM or an e-mail if you ever feel like it too. But stick around.

Frankly, I was surprised to see that thread shut down. Very odd use of one's power, especially when it didn't violate the other Richard's rules for the board which seem to be conveniently ignored when it comes to political views on global warming.

However, I don't own the forum and the golden rule applies here. He who has the gold makes the rules.

Don't leave the forum. I enjoy your participation!

cvhs18472 11-13-2007 07:34 AM

One of the reasons for revolt is the misuse of power. I still don't understand how, with rule #4 in place, the Global warming post is still up. There are things that interest all of us which do not violate any of the posted rules except #4, and we get tossed. I will miss the man as the forum is the sum of all who are active, but he must feel that a statement must be made. What about a boycott of sponsors products till a fairer hand is in charge.

Or insult a country but not the jerks doing the insulting

Bogg you're OK

super66 11-13-2007 10:32 AM

hey, joe torre is the greatest, you have to admitt he is classy (opinion) worthy of starting a thread....

hey Joe Torre sucks (differing opinion) not of the founding fathers, worthy to brand all those in favor immature and locking the thread :D

too bad bogg, personally I stopped following the thread as it was going nowhere and I do agree with Mr Lee that everyone breaking the law and taking shots at the cops was uncalled for.......just don't cry wolf...come or go I say....otherwise this thread is a waste of time and your voice...

now I have to go back and read about the big global warming debate.....zzzzz.....zzzzz....zzzzz....zzzzz....zz zzz.....

blkboxster 11-13-2007 10:39 AM

Dude dont leave

bmussatti 11-13-2007 11:53 AM

Bogg, there are hundreds of reasons to stay part of the Forum. Don't let one member ruin it for you. He may be the co-owner, but he does not make this Forum what it truly is, it is the hundreds of active members that make this site worthwhile.

Ignore.

And rise above.

cvhs18472 11-13-2007 12:09 PM

I would not like for this forum to shut down, that was not my motive for saying what I did. I enjoy many things about it. Like me, though, it is not perfect. To have a single person who will not allow any disagreement with his thoughts, see Joe Torre--and YES I did play pro ball for awhile, or that same someone who disregards his own rules, see rule#4 and Global Warming Debate, be the censor is one of the problems which the forum has. There is no rule stating that road racing is not allowed, but it gets removed and the poster is chastised. The one thing that brings us all to this forum is our love of our cars. When this many people get together there are bound to be groups of people with similar tastes and others who dislike those same things. As long as people are respectful of others ideas , and the forum is not used for unlawful purposes what difference does it make what the threads deal with as long as the basic premise is a group of P-Car owners getting together to shoot the ********************. Well, my account hasnt been deleted yet so I figure I will let you guys know im still alive. I may be taking a stand against the power, and it will be futile, but I will be happier for myself. It sucks, but sacrifices are hard for a reason. As far as boycotting the sponsors, I dont care. I just dont want to be belittled and treated as a number. So if thats true it wont matter that im gone. If we are such a tight knit community (which we are) how come the co-owner seems to not even like this job. Seems silly to me, and it definitely shows on the forum. Having moderators on a site this big would at least allow some equality in views. But alas.

"The people shouldnt fear the government, its the government that should fear the people." Oh how untrue that has been in the past several years.

Farewell.

Jon

P.S. Robert, Im giving you control of the FB group.
