sell your turbo twists and get some of these or the replicas. Paint the calipers red while your at it.
if you want something racier looking that is actually a strong wheel consider these forged wheels which are bullet proof on ****************ty roads and weigh 20 pounds. Forged wheels usually sell for a grand a piece, these are about half that and won't dent like my factory Carreras. I'm considering these below for my summer tires and running the Carreras as my winter wheels.
18" ccwheel

All that bling doesn't belong on a Porsche. Besides that, everyone knows that chrome wheels weigh allot more. So why would you want to slow your car down by adding all that weight to the flywheel?

LOL yeah but maybe just ghost the front....
seriously I have 18" Carreras on mine which I like as is but chrome is cool...
I haven't been impressed with the paint quality on the Porsche's I've seen and wonder why we don't see more custom paint out there.

I don't care if it belong to a boxster or not, I got a speedbike, and a lot of friend with speedbike had gone crazy with chrome, but for it to stay nice, specially on wheel, is hell! I got problem keepking my stock wheel clean, so imagine on chrome..
Chrome is nice for show room, on road it's not practical, Go chrome only if you can handle to clean it twice a day, dirthy chrome is worst that non-chrome

yeah, and if you don't clean your chrome wheels often, u can say bye bye to them as chrome will chip off and then it will look even worse.

I'm strongly in the "it's your car, do whatever the hell you want with it" camp. If all the negative nellies don't like it, well they can avert their eyes when you drive by...
Do not read the following, it's just my opinion, about which you should care naught. I would not put chrome on my Porsche, it's just the wrong aesthetic for me. I would commit heresy by swapping out Bosch parts on my motor for GM stuff or put brakes off a Viper on a Cayman or maybe even stuffing a Japanese engine in an old 911. To each their own.

When it comes to chrome I think they are actually easier to clean. The surface of chrome is so smooth and slippery that not much will ever really stick to it. I've had chrome wheels before on my last car and found it extremely easy to clean them because dirt would just slide off. You could take a dry paper towel to them and clean them with nothing else. I used regular 409 surface cleaner and NO wheel cleaner, because in the past, all those wheel cleaner's out there are way to harsh for any cars clear coat. The clear coat can come off on any wheel type if it is to acidic. So I have to say chrome may get dirty or appear dirty faster than regular wheels, but I think they are much easier to wipe off.

Heres a pic of my previous box which had the chrome turbo twist wheels:
Theres a few more pics of them here http://www.pteam.net/boxster.html
Btw my lambo (pic in sig) below has chrome OEM wheels and it doesnt look out of place on a sports car or blinged out.

I already get enough looks like "you're just a pretentious SOB". With the chrome I'd feel they were right. Just my opionion but the initial posting did ask for feedback.

why you say that. i think of chrome as downgrading.
chrome trim around windowns, chrome grille, chrome this chrome that, just looks retarted...
all blacked out porsche would get more looks than ghetto'd out chromed out one....well actually depends on where you drive it. if you drive it in the ghetto you may get thubs up and get shot at the same time haha

Please dont do it!! It makes the car look cheaper, well it just doesnt look good on any porsche. Chrome looks good on porsche in a very very rare ocation with some extraordinary setup of wheels, body kit and so on

I guess I look at it like calling attention to yourself excessively. In my opinion, chrome is just too much in this application. Now I have nothing against chrome when it is in the right place. A Porsche just does not need to cry out for attention with bling.

I don't see why you are against de-ambering. The only reason we have amber bits on our cars is because of the stupid US DOT laws. They are not amber in Europe. So what is wrong with putting your car back to the way it was designed to look?
