@ P/L & chills...here, probably I could shed some light to your question..hehehehe!
Before I jump into sports cars, I use to own 3 trucks..97 Suburban faily hauler, 99 Dodge Ram 1500 Cab w/ long bed, camper shell, carpeted cargo that turns into twin size bed w/ 3" lift kit to pull my 89 Ford Bronco w/ 3" suspension lift and 1 1/2 body lift sitting on a super swamper tires when i go four wheeling locally..

Why do i drive it as a D/D? coz' I feel superior on the street/freeway with those mini monster truck (flame suit on)...that's my honest answer

yea yea i know what cayene did revenu wise, but im talking about actual car, i think its pretty useless.
i think that about most SUVs, because most of these things, like PL said, dont get to see any dirt road, dont haul anything but little 3yr old kids, and get used daily by one person.

ahh, ok.

Most SUV's aren't used for what they are made for, which is unfortunate.

I had an Xterra before my Boxster, and I used it for SUV stuff quite a bit. I towed a bit-ass trailer full of motorcycles to the race track, I loaded it with backpacking gear and backpackers and hauled them to remote locations. I also commuted to the Loop with it and that SUCKED.

Once I stopped doing trackdays I decided it was time for a change. I can fit a couple of backpackers and gear in my Hyundai, and it gets better gas mileage, too.

I'll be glad when the SUV fad is over. Someone isn't a tough outdoorsman just because they have an SUV, so get that out of thine head.
