I've only had mine for around a month, but I'm surprised by how many people think the car is brand new. I almost feel guilty, because I'm generally very modest and would never spend 40-50k on a car. I tell them it was either this or a brand new Civic!

That's one of the great things about the Boxster, it still looks very similar to the new models and has a timeless design.

Falling victim to a speed trap here in So. Cal., and in middle of doing some radio up-grades; so radio missing; as the Police Officer was handing me my ticket, he noticed the missing radio and said- "Ha, just like you Prosche guys to remove a $1000,00 dollar radio, just to save a little weight"!

Haha, nice. I would have said "It was stolen... Maybe it wouldn't be missing if you guys weren't wasting so much time writing up traffic violations."

When people risk their lives, shouldn't it be for something very important?
Well, it better be.
But what is so important about driving faster than anyone else?
Lots of people go through life doing things badly. Racing's important to men who do it well.
When you're racing, it's life. Anything that happens before or after is just waiting.

Wrong thread... that belong in the "Things not to say to a Police Officer" thread.

I had a guy pull up next to me at a gas station as I was filling up. I could hear him tell his son..."Look at him, he's putting his gas in the front, must go directly to the engine..." He was missing several teeth...

Pulled up to a hotel, parked and and opened front & rear trunks for the bellman to retrieve the bags when an elderly couple looked quizzically and asked, "where's the engine?" With a straight face, I said, "It's solar powered". They smiled, nodded and said, "nice".

Another time when getting gas around dusk, a woman approached me and asked, "Does your car change colors?"

Fellow Ocean Blue owners know what I'm talking about.
