From experience, there is
no proven way to determine which type of IMS bearing is in a 2005 car (with its original engine) without taking the car apart and looking at it. We have seen early cars with the oversized bearing, and late cars with the serviceable bearing. 2005 cars are a total crapshoot as to which style they came with.
