Finally got it!!
Well, I've been hanging out on this site for about a month now, and I finally picked up my car yesterday. (figures that I was picking up a convertible on the coldest day of the year!!! 26 for the high!!!) This is a new, 06 987 Boxster. Black on all the way around, Bose, Xenon's, heated seats, TPMC, Auto AC, and windstop. Stickered for $53k, and I drove it off the lot for $43k. Ya gotta love '06 leftovers. This car is so much fun. I can't wait till it warms up and I can start putting the top down.
And here are the picks. These are the two loves of my life (the black one in front, and the grey one behind it.)

Good for you Jonesy, beautiful machine (both I mean). I live up here new Stewart airport and these big grey buggers are always banking over the house and throttleing up for the approach to Stewart. Next one that goes over I think it may be you in there and toss you a highball....Party ON!

Congrats. Great deal and a beautiful color.
The more I see these base 17" wheels the more I like them. The box actally looks retro and badass with so much side rubber. If it was only about 1" lower it would look even more perfect.

Z, I agree with you. When I was deciding on the car, the 17's almost made me say no. I really wasn't a fan. My ideal wheel would be the 19 sport design wheel, but the more I look at my car, the more I dig the 17's. They ride really well too. Car still handles great, but takes the bumps a little better. With that being said, I might start saving to get those 19's

Jonsey,
Welcome, I live in Marlton! Pretty machine... I was between the 05 Box and
the 01 S that I ended up with. Coming out of a BMW M roadster, the extra umph of the S sold me. Mine is Black on Black as well.
See ya around the neighborhood!

Congratulations! My '07 987 is supposed to hit port next week, and posts like this just add to the excitement! Saw the 17s in person today on an '06 being delivered at my dealer (one I test drove, actually) and am feeling better and better about getting them, too.

Car is beautiful, for such a nice price too... Those grey "bombs" in the back must be at Maguire AFB.. I go for the air shows once in a while. Good luck with the Box!

Congrats Jonesy, nice one. You got the key options, in my mind, including the TPMS which has saved my bacon several times.
I do differ in opinion on the 987 17" rims, which were one of the contributing factors when I decided to sell my 987 base. It's almost like they employed a psych-ops team to design a subliminally heinous wheel that slowly drives the buyer insane unless they're upgraded. I do like those Sport Design wheels though.
