Just a few photos, where to run the headlights washer hoses…factory clamps are all over, pretty straight forward installation
.
...the secondary pump is a different story, as you can only access it with the front weel and wheel well off.
I really consider, to let someone else (with a lift) do it.

so, the clear corners arrived...cut a washer hole by interpolation...pita, BUT POSSIBLE. Will be a welcome stencil for the driver side. The washer cuts only a little into the inner ring, glad it worked out...was my "biggest" concern.

While still hoping for the best...car Audio wise, PORSCHE came up with a beautiful new 2 Din Radio.
While it looks "modern", it still lacks most, if not all the modern features I am looking for.
No car/board computer data
No BT car Play
No parking sensor / backup camera Integration / WLAN
...and the asking price for that, uhm...there are way better and cheaper solutions out there.
My weapon of choice Features (NEW: DAB+/Digital Radio! plus 7"touch screen in HD)
And my wireless iPhone recharging device is by far the most beautiful device, I have ever seen in the car Audio world, even getting regular feature updates
directly from the wastelands

Just finished the installation of the Pioneer SPH-20DAB (150€)..."successor" to my SPH-10BT (100€).
Difference: It has regular AND digital radio.
Installed the active Pioneer DAB+ antenna on the windscreen, not really an eye-catcher, but hey.
HOLY SHNIKEY! What a booster of the audio sound quality! Totally blown away.
Well invested money for quality "Made in Japan", instead of over-priced stuff "Made in China".

O-kay, the covers are back!
#The paint job (sadly) took a lot of that PU flexibility away.
#They will need a strong, full surrounding double sided tape to hold them in a safe and perfect position.
#I will be fine with a 1mm thick tape, that I can already tell.

Looks great! I know what you mean about the PU firming up after paint. My front bumper was like a wet noodle until it was painted.

Thanks
Will have to experiment with 3M adhesive tapes a little...but I am pretty happy with them.
And I still have alu-tape and chrome bezels...just in case I want to mod the blinkers more.
Now get yourself another pair, JB.

Permanently attached the driver side cover today! Used 3M 4941 VHB (1.1mm)
I don't want to bore you to death with endless headlight cover pics, I just want to post some more pics of different angles to give a better impression of them.
3D to flat 2D jpg pics do not do them justice, tbh. They look really great and already got some compliments (from a woman to boot walking by...lol)
THEY ARE PRICEY (item cost + shipment + VAT tax + paint shop + labor cost for modding and installing) --> But I am happy
They still are slim enough to have an OEM look, no comparisson to the eBay covers we all know.
I think the 1st photo gives a good impression, how much they change the front appearance.

While looking for a perfect spot for a bespoke subwoofer, I took a photo of the space underneath the passenger seat. Looks promising, but most likely have to uninstall the seat.
While checking the photos, I discovered that our seats are made by RECARO...lol.

2nd cover "permantly" installed. I have to let them "rest" for 72 hours for maximum adhesion.

...Hamburg...rainy...the hair uhmm...the covers are sitting strong,
...pit stop in Munich...windy...the covers look great,
...destination Rome...sunny...the covers are still in perfect shape.
(okay that was an inside joke: That used to be a TV ad here in Germany, promoting hair spray, back in the 80s --> I am sure Smallblock remembers, lol)
Used 3M 4941 VHB (1.1mm thickness), heavily modified, mods/inserts for the blinkers might follow. 3M matte black 1080 wrap still on its way...JB, you are right, once detected that Little headlight glimps, you cannot make it unseen.

Yours looks great. My passenger side had a larger gap than you have. Pity. 😥

There is a little wiggle room, so I decided to fixate the covers starting from the inside (hood gap). I tried to give it a perfect 4mm gap with minimal visible clear headlights shining through (had to check the most common and typical front/side view angles).
When I was happy with it, I taped the covers with positioning duck tape….going from the hood over the covers into the open spot again. cut them on both sides, so I had perfect alignments on the hood, covers and headlights.
Adjusted the covers from inside out, and from bottom side up. It is possible to minimize that gap...and I will cover it with matte black wrap anyway.
Photshoped photo, how it will look with a blackend gap (driver side gap was visible in the photo---although it has the same gap on the other side).
It is basically gone. Oh...and I photoshoped a DRL set up (new 935 style seems fitting to me)

Yeah, I think that set up might work...and the only weapon of choice I found is from hella (and needs to be modded...AGAIN... ). Cables need to be extended...a possible task, I hope.
And when that is done, the subtle front splitter will be attached (if the TÜV approves).

Do you have a link to those lights. Not to steal your idea, but for something else.
