hmmm...the new 911

Panamera seems to have introduced the new back end
I like the Finns and the new look.
..the good old dainty elegance shifts more and more to muscle

a different 986 TUNING...hmmm...let's see what they say (lol):

* RACING CAMSHAFT (German Company): +20HP

* Plasma Direct Ignition Coil Pack & Plasma Booster (Japanese Company): +5-10HP

"The spark amperage is increased by 100%, allowing the spark to reach many more molecules, which therefore accelerates the ignition and combustion processes. This is extremely important in forced induction applications, but also improves the performance of normally aspirated engines. The Plasma Direct will increase horsepower and torque throughout the entire RPM range, as well as reducing fuel consumption. Even engines with legendary smoothness will be further refined with the Plasma Direct upgrade. Plasma Direct coils are OBD II compliant."

* +102 octane RACING gas (German Company): +5-10HP
More power - better acceleration - better gas mileage - smoother running engine - cleaner

O-KAY, sure

Although I really like the look of the newer vertical finns (and what I created from scratch), i found THIS NOS part for an absolutely reasonable price on ebay. Worth a try ... OEM 911 OLD SCHOOL GRILL

...would make sense...with my old school look and my use of OEM PORSCHE parts

concerning tuning:
well race gas is not a biggie, I use that already.
Next is the filter exchange, as long as there is no 987 airbox.
Paper filter goes, BMC "Race" filter comes.

just for the heck of it...while waiting for spring

FM7 has a fantastic design editor, probably the best tool to test layouts, colors and even oem/aftermarket parts, forget photoshop

Really like those stripes better than what Ive been working on. 😐
Wish I knew the exact dimensions on those. Any guess?
Nice work!

We'll see, but thx!
I would say roughly AROUND 50cm overall width --> Virtual design

I like your concept, because it is not such a "classic" PORSCHE 3-stripes design. I picked it, because it repeats the side stripes I have.
I had a 3-stripe design once on my trunk and liked it, but knew I wanted it a bid wider.
Simple trick, if you see a design on a frunk/trunk...just extend the design down to the license plate, get the exact measurements for it and Bingo...
My design is atm 2,5cm - (3cm space) - 34cm - (3cm space) - 2,5cm = 45 cm --> Euro license plate 51cm.
...and not sure, if I should have gone wider. Just have to wait and see.
I like a wider 3-stripes design on our 986.

It never looks as good when I do it

Looks wider at the front than the back but it's the same.

Changed the front of all lines inward 1" so 2" narrower at the front still not much change.

Looks good, JB!
I would prefer a little thinner side lines...and just for the heck of it, I photoshopped a little extension beyond the frunk gap, just for imagination. As I have my alu bumper upfront, I will extend it to the bumper. It will optically stretch the hood and to a "long hood".

let my do your colors quick with FM7 editor

OMG 😍 I know that's not the same as my car but that's tge look I'm shooting for. WOW You do great work. Stripe size, spacing? Got any ideas what they would be? I'm not good at eyeballing that.

The all silver with the side bars looks much better than what I had. I had to order more wrap because I wasn't happy with a few places that wrinkled. I got over confident and need a helper next time.

Since my editing skills are poor. I took all my scraps of wrap I had left over and pieced them together so I could try to duplicate your PhotoShop. Not bad for scraps

1" - 16" - 1" front of hood, middle strip 19" at w/s.

Carporn 2.0

upper part still wider than lower part? I probably would keep it same size without black outlines...makes your life a lot easier, too
I think you nailed it!
