When you are doing 43 mph you will actually be doing 45 with the increased wheel size. I got 20's on mine 2 and used a very accurate gps speedometer i tested prior on my wifes car.

you may want to check the laws then, here in the uk and indeed Europe it is illegal for a speedometer to under-read speed.

So someone tried to make the boxster hellaflush. It dosn doesn't t look bad, but the majority of the people on this forum like to have performance at all times, at least thats what most of these posts suggest.

Any hoot I am not personally a fan of stretched tires, but it is a nice ride so congrats on your achievement and i guess points for uniqueness, at least your not running outrageously negative camber. One question what is the car next to yours? Im inclined to say its a fairlady but not 100% sure. Also have you taken your car to any meets im sure it would track much attention?

So here is the set up for people that are wondering. I did a lot of research to make this show set up work and took a gamble to get the right stance; but it worked

Here is my secrete recipe

1. Eibach pro-kit
2. Bilstein HD Shocks
3. 20x11 Vossen CV2 wheel at the back (had to shave 3mm of the back side of the wheel) with Pirelli Pzero 255/30/20 at 50psi
4. 20x8.5 Vossen CV2 wheel at the front with Pirelli Pzero 235/30/20 at 50psi
5. Eibach Front & Rear Sway bars

The end result is the stance that you see.

The ride is surprising good. I actually expected a rougher ride but i guess i got lucky

Handling is actually not bad either. With the added performance products to make this set up work, it actually handles like stock even with the big wheels

Roads in Toronto are actually good. If I lived in New York City or Montreal, i would not even consider this set up. I drive approx 5,000 - 7,000kms a year so i am not too concerned about tire wear either

One issue I did have when i lowered the vehicle was getting it back to proper allignment specs. It is currently 90% but have ordered adjustable control arms for the rear to make it 100%. Not sure if there is anyother way?? The Eibach pro-kit lowers the vehicle 1.0 inches in front and rear.

My only other pet peeve about the Boxster S is the sun visors do move to the side. I had a 350z conv before and having adustable sunvisors is amazing in a vert

P.S. The car next to the boxster is a 2013 Genesis Coupe 2.0T with coilover and Fast F159 wheels (daily driver, therefore more of a flush stance)

I know this is thread is about your boxster but i have to ask how does that genesis coupe feel. I havn't test driven one yet but they look really good and 274hp with turbo must be fantastic. I don't think you can beat the starting price either. most importantly how does it handle because once you have owned a boxster everything else feels a bit clunky or in better words not as refined. Then again im comparing my boxster to my previous jap car 1995 gsx eclispe and my friends 270z, integras, and other not so new cars.

So you did have to make some modifications to get things to fit. I wouldn't call shaving any surface off of a wheel rim to be a minor modification, though. It also helps substantiate what Johnny Danger was stating initially in that there will be contact between the wheel and the suspension/body with an 11-inch rear without some sort of modification.

Upon rereading some of what you've written I saw that you did indeed say that there were some minor mods and bolt-ons required. I was under the impression that you were accomplishing this without modifying anything and simply finding the solution in a narrower tire, so that was my mistake in following what had been stated.

I'm actually surprised that you didn't have to do more than what you listed to get that to work.

There was some research done to make sure these will fit. I kinda over estimated as i didn't need to shave the rear wheels wheels (unfortunitly that was done 1st). No matter, it still rides great.

With regards to the Genesis Coupe, it is a different type of vehicle. If I never drove a Boxster S, I would live it, but it is that "X" you can't discribe that makes the boxster S a better drive (not to mention better steering, tranny, engine & handling :P) The Turbo in the 2013 Genesis coupe gives you that whip lash turbo feeling when you punch it. The Boxster S is more liner in comparsion. Overall the 2013 Genesis Coupe it is a great daily driver with 274 Hp

why not just put a wheel on with less width and a tire to match? more grip and it doesn't look as though someone screwed up matching the tires to the wheel?

that's literally what it looks like, someone didn't know what they were doing and put the wrong tires on the rims? would anyone that knows anything about cars see this and think anything different?

Because then it wouldn't have that ghetto-tuner look. High performance is out of the question here.
