The amber is right at the bulb hole. You don't have to reach in very far. I started poking a few holes in it and it came loose. Then I cut it up with the iron and pulled the pieces out. I had 1 or 2 small melted chunks fall down but I was able to remove them by shaking them out. I also vacumed the hole just to be sure. Really not a difficult job.
