Body kit has arrived!

Got in in today!!

Front bumper

Sides.

Inside of front bumper.

With side marker on.

End of side.

Other end.

I didn't get a chance to take a pic of the rear spoiler. I'll try and get one up as soon as I can! The kit seems to be of the highest quality I've seen in any body kit! The side markers are Porsche factory parts and they snap right in place! The sides are gonna be held on with the factory clips. Going to be taking it to Magnum Collision Monday morning!!

I also got some light brackets with the kit that will install on both sides so that I can put driving lights on. I'll try and get some pictures of them up in the morning along with the rear spoiler.

This is a great looking kit. Can't wait for pics painted and installed.
Please let us know how much fitting was requires versus an OEM bumper/parts.

Having to wait until Wednesday to take the car to the body shop. My bud can only get that day off. It's all good cause the clips that I needed will not be in until then. So I guess it saves me two trips!!

Took my car to Magnum collision yesterday. I am very impressed with the place so far! I've not seen that many Austin's, Lamborghinis, Ferraris and Maseratis in one place! They have been so far nothing but professionals!

LMAO!!

I'm gonna be posting all the details as the project gets under way. I.E how the shop is treating me and my car, how long it takes them and the like. I'll also be posting up pictures of the finished install along with my overall opinion of the shop. Just in case anyone on here might be thinking about getting a kit installed in the south east!

Like most everyone on here I'm picky and would be grateful for an unbiased opinion on a local body shop. As a former owner of an import performance shop I've seen the so called "quality" of work of other shops! So bad or good I'll let everyone know how it goes!

The info so far:

I had already pre bent and painted the mesh to be installed on the front bumper prior to taking my car and kit to Magnum.

The place: Magnum Collision

The time: I dropped off my car and body kit along with the side marker lights and mesh at 9:30am on 2/23/2011. I then drove to Hennessy Porsche and picked up the side skirt clips and dropped them off at Magnum with the receptionist and explained to her what car they go with around 10:30am or so.

The job: Remove stock front bumper. Paint and install Fiberwerks Aero kit which consists of the front bumper cover, clear side marker lights, side skirts and rear spoiler.

Got a call from my assigned project manager yesterday, Jay. After 2 phone calls and an email to check in on the car, I also wanted to go over a few things with them before the got started.

Jay told me that my car would be getting underway Monday morning. He did not give me a projected completion date however but did state that I would be kept up to date on all fronts. He also was very apologetic about not getting with me sooner. As I did see when I dropped the car off they are very busy!

Car under way.

Got a call from Jay this afternoon. He told me there was a slight fitment issue with the front bumper but nothing "to" bad. He said the sides went on great and the rear spoiler should also.

Here are some pics so far!!

The car so far.

The areas with the problem.

The other side.

Hawkeye -

Is this the place north of town with all the f cars out front? What did they quote you, out of curiosity? I hear they do great work. Can't wait to see the finished look.

I'm curious, are they simply doing a color match, or are they actually going to blend into the appropriate areas ?
