Finally the piston was not mushroomed, I removed the oil pump cover and was able to easily remove it. It was just held in place in the cylinder by the oil's surface tension.

I found that I had to rotate the clip to a position where I was able to get it with the clamp tool. I think I used a long screwdriver lubricated with patience and colourful language.

There is some scoring on the camshaft bearings that are beside the chain on bank 2 . All other bearings are perfect. I a have started another thread on that subject, with photos....
