Middle oil filler tube removal

Hi all,

What is the best way to remove the middle oil filler tube? I am having trouble with the clamp that is near the fire wall. I tried to get to it from the bottom while laying on my back, with the car on a quick jack. No way I can reach it like that. From the top I can't seem to get my clamp tool onto the clamp. I see they all go into the trunk, is there a way to get to the clamp from the trunk? Or will I have to take the whole coolant reservoir out to go this route? Thanks in advance.

A cable drive clamp tool helps a lot .

That is what I'm trying to use. I guess I'll just keep at it.

Patience is the key. Walk away when necessary and come back to it when ready. This was essential when I replaced the coolant tank. Patience along with JP’s tool suggestion will get you there. Good luck.

I found that I had to rotate the clip to a position where I was able to get it with the clamp tool. I think I used a long screwdriver lubricated with patience and colourful language.
